Joining someone else's project is always free. The limits only ever apply to projects you own.
When Pro stops being enough
You've got more people than Pro holds.
Pro caps a project at 15. Business doesn't cap it at all — and you still only pay for the handful who sign work off. Put the whole crew in, labourers and subbies included, and the bill doesn't move. Your people live in one company list, so a new job takes a tap rather than another round of invitations, and the work belongs to the firm: when someone moves on, their jobs stay.
Or somebody's going to ask you to prove it.
A client, an insurer, an inspector. You can't write that record afterwards — a note typed in January isn't much of an answer in March, because the time came off someone's phone, the task could have been edited since, and nothing says who changed what. Business records it as it happens, against named people, and none of it can be quietly tidied up later. It only covers work done after you switch it on, which is the reason to switch it on before you need it.

Good questions
How is this different from other to-do apps?
The confirmation step. Other apps let anyone tick anything off. Tickback separates doing a task from signing it off, so "done" actually means done.
Is it complicated?
No — it's a list. The confirm step is one extra tap, and the power features (permissions, templates, recurring) are optional.
What if the person who needs to confirm is away?
Confirming isn't limited to one person. The owner can always confirm, and you can give any other member "can confirm" rights — so a second parent or a shift lead can sign off too. Until then, the task simply stays visible as "waiting confirmation" — nothing is lost.
I invited someone and they can’t see my tasks
That’s deliberate, not a fault. Someone you add starts off seeing only the tasks assigned to them — so you can bring a subcontractor onto a job without handing them the whole job.
To open it up, go to … → Members, tap their name and turn on Sees all tasks. Adding tasks, assigning them and signing work off are separate switches on the same panel, and they all start off too. Turn on what that person actually needs.
Can I attach photos as proof?
Yes. When you tick a job off — or confirm one — you can attach a photo, so there's visual proof the work was actually done. Great for changeovers, snagging and site work. You can also export any project as a printable PDF report for handovers, client updates or your records.
Will it ping me at all hours?
No. Quiet hours are on by default (overnight), so nobody gets work notifications at 11pm — and you can set your own window to match your shifts or family time. Anything that arrives during quiet hours is held, not lost, and comes through once quiet time ends.
Is it free?
Yes — the free plan covers 2 projects with up to 5 people each, including the full confirm loop, recurring tasks and templates. A Pro plan (£4.99/month, or £49.99/year for two months free) gives unlimited projects with up to 15 people each. Business (£19.99 per supervisor who signs work off) removes the people limit entirely and adds compliance record-keeping — everyone who isn't a supervisor is free, however many of them there are. Being a member of someone else's project is always free.
We're a company — how does that work?
You set up your company once and add people to it, so you're not inviting the same crew to every new job. Each person is an admin, a supervisor or a member, and you only pay for the first two — the people who sign work off. Members are free, however many of them there are, so you can put the whole crew in without thinking about the bill.
Work belongs to the company rather than to whoever created it. An admin can open any company project without being added to it, and if someone leaves, their jobs stay with the firm instead of walking out with them.
What's an audit pack?
A PDF of a project as it actually happened: every task, who did it, who signed it off, the photos, and a full history of each one that nobody can edit or delete. It's what you hand to an insurer, a client or an inspector when they ask you to prove the work was done.

Do I need to download anything?
Only if you want to. Tickback is on the App Store and Google Play, and it also runs in any browser — installing to your home screen takes a tap. It's one account across all three, so the crew can use whatever they've already got in their pocket and you're not asking anyone to switch phones.

Yes — your lists are cached and viewable offline, and it tells you clearly when an action needs a connection.
Is my data private?
